Kelly Roberts

Electoral Ward: Gorseinon

01792 636 923

I am delighted and feel honoured to be selected as Labour’s candidate for Gorseinon. I grew up in the area and am a motivated member of the community who cares for all issues affecting local businesses and families.

I became a Community Town Councillor for Lower Loughor in 2015 and consider this a privilege. I enjoy working and linking in with the local groups and organisations in this community.

I have always had an interest in public service. I worked at the DVLA for twelve years and after completing a Degree and Masters in Social Policy and Politics I became a Public Policy lecturer at Swansea University. I am now completing a PhD that will analyse the Concessionary Bus Pass and its links to health and well-being for older people. If elected as Gorseinon’s County Councillor I think my public policy knowledge will serve the community of Gorseinon well.
