Jennifer Raynor

Cabinet Member – Children, Education & Long Life Learning

Electoral Ward: Dunvant

Cllr.Jennifer.Raynor@swansea.gov.uk

I was elected as a Councillor in 2012. I have lived in Dunvant for over 40 years with my husband Peter. Our two daughters enjoyed the great teaching they received in our local schools which prepared them for higher education and the world of work.

Dunvant is a fantastic place to live, on the edge of the Gower with a cycle track to Swansea Bay.

I am a former teacher and youth worker committed to ensuring all children and their families get the best education possible.

I am a Governor at Olchfa and Pen y Fro schools.

I helped set up the Friends of Dunvant Park and work with voluntary groups to help improve facilities and access to services such as home care for the elderly and walking cycling and riding routes.

I hold regular ward and street surgeries and site meetings with residents and officers to resolve problems.
