I have been an active member of the Labour Party for more than 50 years and a retired member of Unison.

I have been a councillor for Penderry ward since 1983. I have served on the City Council and now a member of the City and County of Swansea Council.

I have served as a Cabinet member for Community Regeneration, Housing and Place and am currently joint cabinet member for Future Generations.

I was a governor on the Daniel James Community and Arfryn schools. I am presently a governor on Blaenymaes and Portmead Primary schools.

I am a representative on South Penlan Community Centre.

I work with various groups in Penderry Ward.  I work closely with the Community First Team. My main interests are anti-poverty, communities and housing.

I am a retired medical centre secretary. I am widowed with two daughters, a granddaughter and grandson.
