Paulette Smith

Electoral Ward: Clydach

01792 636 923

I became a councillor for Clydach in 2008 and have lived in Glais and Clydach all my life.

I have been married to Roger for 47 years. I am retired after being a case worker in Welsh Labour politics.

I am a champion for carers in the City & County of Swansea and I am also on the Police Panel working with Peter Vaughan and Alan Michael.

Clydach and Glais is a lovely area to represent and I have the added advantage of knowing 75% of the people in my ward. And I am very proud be their councillor.

I am governor of Clydach Infant and Primary School and also St Joseph RC school.

As I have an active interest in the well-being of the children in the ward I gave each school, including Clydach Infant and Primary School, St Joseph RC school, Gellionnen Welsh School and Graigfelen Primary School, £1,000 each from my Councillor Donation Allowance.
