A former Labour councilor in Reading, Peter Jones has just retired after working full-time on policy issues for a national nature conservation charity, most recently wildlife legislation on sustainable development for the Welsh Labour Government.

“I wish to bring my knowledge and experience to Swansea council,” said Peter, who has been a resident in Sketty for the past 15 years and was elected to the Sketty ward in May 2017.

“My particular focus will be on the natural environment and on ensuring that all policy areas are approached from a sustainability perspective, especially with reference to climate change mitigation and adaptation and to wildlife enhancement.”
