Ryland Doyle on Facebook

I have been a councillor for Llansamlet since May 2008. I stood for election to the Council as I was already a community activist and see being a councillor as being a community activist by a different route, and so that I could make a contribution to making the community a better place to live.

In coming years we have to ensure that the community has facilities for young people and and that we have new housing estates, have appropriate open space and play facilities for children.

I serve as the vice chair of Birchgrove Comprehensive School governors, and am on the governors for Birchgrove Primary School. I am also the chair of Heol Las Park fun day and the vice chair of Swansea Vale nature reserve. I am the council representative on LASA Credit Union.

Outside of council work and politics, my main interest is cricket – playing, watching, reading about and (very) occasionally umpiring.
