Wendy Lewis

Councillor

Electoral Ward: Cockett

Cllr.Wendy.Lewis@swansea.gov.uk

01792 636 923

I have lived in Waunarlwydd for 47 years. I was brought up in  Ravenhill and went to Gendros and Cadle schools. My first job was working in Signode in Fforestfach Industrial Estate.

My last job before retirement was in the local post office for 35 years, which helped me be an integral part of the community in Cockett ward.

I have been very active in the community over the years not just helping people but helping organise the first carnival in Waunarlwydd , involved with the rugby club and helping out in the school. More recently arranging with PCSO to organise the pact meetings.

I was Cockett ward coordinator for Julie James AM in the Welsh Assembly elections. I am chair of Cockett ward, attend the women’s forum, am a CLP delegate and LCF delegate.

Wendy was elected as councillor in 2017.
