The Penclawdd Ward is a single member Ward, made up of four villages, Penclawdd, Crofty, Llanmorlais and Wernffrwd.

The ward has a good provision of services and shops throughout the villages. There is one school, a doctor’s surgery, chemist, dentist, two post offices and two community centres.

There are a number of businesses, pubs and food outlets. There is also rugby and football teams with many junior sides.

While it has grown, as most communities have over the years, the area has still maintained the village feel to its Community, which is what still makes it an appealing and pleasant place to live in, and to raise a family.
