Blaenymaes celebrates new Post Office service

Swansea Labour Party councillors have been celebrating after a new Post Office service has been opened at Woodford Stores, Blaenymaes.

Councillor Terry Hennegan, who lives on Woodford Road, officially opened the new Post Office service which was possible through the excellent support from fellow Penderry Councillor June Burtonshaw and members of the community.

Cllr Hennegan and Cllr Burtonshaw both insist this has been one of the best things to happen in Blaenymaes for a long time and is what was needed for all members of the community.

Cllr Hennegan said: “Mr Singh and his family have supported this community for over 30 years with generous sponsorship and donations, and on this day the community came together to support Mr Singh and his family. In Blaenymaes, we call this: ‘getting it together, and becoming stronger together.’ ”
