Swansea Labour councillor for Pontarddulais Jane Harris is encouraging people aged 50 and over to come along to the Age Concern luncheon in The Kings Hotel, Pontarddulais, this Wednesday August 10 from 11:30 to 13:30.
The luncheon will be the last one before the group breaks for the summer. Luncheon meetings will then resume on September 7.
“The group is usually run from the cricket club with the help of Dragon Events and is a great opportunity to meet like minded people and enjoy not just lunches but also trips and presentations,” said Councillor Harris, who is chair and treasurer of the group. “Our presentations have covered topics as diverse as modern slavery and scams. We have clothing sales and arrange trips to places such as Tredegar house, Hay on Wye and locally up the Tawe.”
The group is open to anyone aged 50 and over. Anyone interested in joining can contact Councillor Harris on 01792 884339.
