My career began in the Commonwealth Office before pursuing a master’s degree. Since then, I have lived with my wife and son in Sketty.

I now work as the External Relations and Engagement Manager at the Energy Safety Research Institute (ESRI) within Swansea University. I am a governor for Parkland Primary and Olchfa Comprehensive school. During the Covid-19 pandemic I helped our community by running prescriptions and delivering groceries. I was honoured to be awarded the British Empire Medal in 2020 and the St David’s Day Award in 2021. Recently, I have helped set up the Sketty Youth Club.

I work at Swansea University on the Singleton Campus as a manager for a national population health research centre. I also serve as a Parent Governor at Parkland Primary School here in Sketty. In the Community I coach and sit in the committee board of my son’s youth football team Sandfields Juniors FC, with many of the players living in Sketty.

I'm aiming to become a Labour Councillor for Sketty as I am passionate about making Sketty the best environment for my children, their friends and families and the community as a whole, to live in.

I am an Open University Student studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics. In my spare time I volunteer in the community primarily with Youth People. I have a passion for our community and began work in Youth Advocacy at 15, organising Pride Prom at YMCA Swansea.

I have volunteered over 200 hours at the local LGBT+ Youth Support Group ‘Goodvibes’ where young people can be proud of who they are in Swansea. My hope for the community is to see a safe place for all, where young people can thrive, where families can grow and where everyone can achieve their goals.

I am an English teacher by profession, having worked with children from the community for many years, before becoming involved in social work. I have lived in the local area for most of my life, and was brought up here, my family living in Gower and Swansea West for several generations. A father of two, and now a grandfather, my children went to Dunvant, Crwys and Olchfa schools.

I have a strong sense of justice, fairness, and social responsibility which I believe is in keeping with the residents of Sketty.
