Waunarlwydd

My Pledges -

  • Building safer communities: Continue to work with the Police and residents to tackle speeding and antisocial behaviour in the ward

  • Protecting Community Facilities: Continue to support and protect our Park and Community centre

  • A community to be proud of: I will work hard to make sure the ward looks cared for and is a place to be proud of

  • Transport: I will continue to make sure the ward continues to get a decent bus service

  • Working for you: As your Councillor I will be accessible to all residents and continue to listen to the Community I represent to ensure your voice is heard

A bit about me …

I have lived in Waunarlwydd for over 52 years with my husband Jeff, we met locally in Signode on Fforestfach trading estate and got married in St Peter’s Church Cockett and we have two Children and six Grandchildren and one Great Grandaughter.

My job in the local Post Office in Waunarlwydd and Gowerton for 35 years is where I became embedded in the community and worked to make a difference in Waunarlwydd. In 2017 I decided to be a Councillor with encouragement from the community and have been a Councillor for Cockett Ward for nearly five years which has been one of the most rewarding jobs I have done in my community.

As your Councillor for the last five years I have been accessible to all residents and if elected will continue to listen to the Community I represent to ensure your voice is heard.
