Our Pledges -

  • A Safer community: We will work with residents, the police & other organisation to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour and make our community safer

  • A Cleaner community: We will employ an operative to help keep our streets clean by clearing litter, removing weeds and undertaking minor works. We will also work to deal with fly tipping quickly and we will install new bins across Bonymaen ward

  • Investment in park and play: We will continue to invest in our parks and play areas across the ward & work with Swansea Labour council to deliver the new indoor training barn to be built at Cefn Hengoed school

  • Greener community: We will continue to fund flower displays and wildflower planting schemes and protect green areas to make the ward a community to be proud of

  • Supporting Local Groups: We will help support local community groups, sports clubs and schools and continue to support residents and the Eastside Foodbank

A bit about the ward …

Work is to begin soon on building the new indoor training barn at Cefn Hengoed school & the refurbishing of the leisure centre. The indoor training barn is an indoor 3G pitch, 60 x 40 metres. The first in Swansea. It's an election promise from 2017 where we said we'd provide an outdoor 3G pitch at Cefn Hengoed school. This goes further than that in that it's indoors meaning the sports teams in the ward can train all year round whatever the weather. Currently they have to travel outside the ward & sometimes outside of Swansea to train.
